Happy Mothers Day

Today I get to celebrate Mother’s Day because of the most beautiful, bright-eyed, spunky 4 year old that I’ve ever met, Brooke. There are days I sit back and watch her play in such amazement that God blessed us with her. In 4 short years she’s taught me that getting up and playing is WAY more fun than sitting, she’s taught me that I can love someone beyond measure, she’s taught me the act of unselfishness….she is my whole world and most important I pray that I can be the same mom to her that mine was to me. Growing up my mom made the most out of every second with us. So a very happy Mother’s Day to the person I hope to be! My mommy!

This weekend Gregg surprised me with a trip to our favorite family vacation spot to Niagara Falls. I’m pretty sure its our favorite place because of the excitement that Brooke gets from it. Her favorite parts are the ferris wheel and this huge patch of grass that over looks the falls. Gregg snapped a few pictures of us playing….

Kelly and Kevin’s Engagements l Las Vegas Wedding Photography

Hi everyone! Meet Kevin (Gregg’s younger brother) and his new beautiful fiancé Kelly! Kevin happens to be the last one of our 4 siblings to have us photograph their wedding. We absolutely love being a part of such an important day as we not only get to share it with them, but also gift them images that will be cherished for a lifetime.

Gregg was active in helping Kevin to pick out a a perfect ring so we knew the big day was quickly approaching. Once the proposal night came I think I was more nervous than Kevin was….and couldn’t wait to get the call with her reaction! We are so glad to welcome Kelly into this crazy family of ours!!

We had a Vegas trip planned with them before the engagement ….so it was fun to have a real reason to celebrate! Kelly and I quickly began talking about engagement pictures. We wanted to find a contemporary location and we happened to find out right outside their hotel on the strip!

We cant wait for their spring 2013 wedding in San Diego!! Warm…..beach and palm trees…..we’ll take it!

This little darling Sophia just turned one! I’ve know her parents for years as I photographed their absolutely stunning wedding at Letchworth State Park. She came to the session not the happiest camper so I was a little nervous as she always smiles……but the second they put her down she was all smiles again and ready for the camera! I absolutely loved getting to know this family throughout the past year and can’t wait so see them again!

Happy Easter! This is such a great time of year! A time where spring is knocking on our door….the freshness of the new season is so encouraging and motivating! Most of all I love this holiday as it’s the perfect time to sit and reflect on Jesus’s death and resurrection. How amazing that He paid the ultimate price for our sins and gave us the gift of eternal salvation.

I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6)

Also, thanks to our adorable 4 year old, Easter brings such a playful spirit where Gregg and I now get to do all of our favorite traditions of our own childhood. Eating tons of candy, coloring eggs, eating more candy, easter baskets, easter egg hunts, time with family, more candy, holiday baking and most important talking to her about Jesus’ love for us….and then of course eating more candy! Here are a few photos of our Easter. We pray that everyone will have a blessed spring!

Sooooooo….we have some big news again, we’ve decided to remain Rochesterians for the long term! As many know we had several doors open for us late last winter as our lease was set to expire at the studio providing what we thought would be perfect timing for a move. Long story short we were ready for a change and decided to try to make the huge move to Miami Florida where we had been working weddings for the past few winters. So we worked out most of the details until we got to the final step of selling our home and that was a door that slammed shut! We had no idea how difficult it was to sell a home in this market!! Geesh! After months of being listed for sale it became apparent to us that this move was a luxury not a necessity and we decided to reevaluate a lot of things. After recently coming to this decision at first I was sad realizing that this fun new start we were planning for our future in Florida was not meant to be. Now back to reality (and our heads are out of the sand,) we are really happy that we are staying!! We have such an amazing family and group of friends and tons of wonderful peers that we work with in this wedding world! Initially in planning our move to Florida we had the goal to book weddings year round enabling us to focus on them solely and coming back to Rochester in the summer months escaping the blistering Florida summers. However after some number crunching we realized that traveling there a few times in the winter would be enough for us to get our annual Florida fix!

The main reaction I’ve received from a few of our clients is “what about the studio?” That is a completely different topic that has gotten lost in the story around our move. The studio was a two year adventure and a lot of fun for the time we had it, however there was no money in the world worth the time that it took both Gregg and I away from family. Over the two years, we almost lost track of our priorities and felt that our relationships with family and friends suffered. The day to day rigors with many weekends and nights on top of our full wedding schedule was very challenging. I started my journey in photography following my passion to document weddings and along the way in the journey I felt compelled to try the full service studio. I’m glad I did it and experienced it. Newborns, puppies, seniors and it was all a whirlwind! However, getting back to my roots of family and passion for weddings guides me down this new path.

Going forward we are going to stay focused on our passion of weddings and we are excited to have such a great group of couples this season! I will continue to offer very limited on location sessions for portrait clients! I want to still be able to offer photography for our loyal past wedding and portrait clients as they enter the next exciting stage in their lives. See the rest of the details on our new web site.

Devin is ONE! l Miami FL Photographers

Hi Everyone! Meet this cool little dude Devin! I’m so extremely blessed to have met him and his super loving mom WAY back last year for maternity pictures (which feels like years ago!). He’s just turned one and seeing him every three months has truly been something I’ve looked forward to. He had some wild crazy hair from birth and even in his last session can see the little guy still has his wild on! HAHA! I always had his mom on hair check during the sessions as I remember taking pictures of my little one when her hair was our of place and not liking many of the photos…..but she always kept reminding me that its totally him and she LOVES it! Thank you so much Erica for trusting me to capture these precious memories of Devin! I love you both and wish nothing but the best for you!!

Bitter Sweet News l Miami FL Wedding Photographers

Hi everyone! Images Unveiled Photography has some huge news to announce! After a lot of careful thought and prayer, Gregg and I have decided to focus solely on wedding photography and we will be relocating our business to South Florida! We’ve decided to close the studio in Rochester and our new home will soon be in Miami. We plan to be in the Rochester/1000 Islands area each and every summer (June through August) for weddings and to visit family and friends.

The past couple of years have been an amazing journey as we have seen the studio grow thanks to all of our loyal supporters! We were so lucky to have met so many amazing people and we will always value the friendships that we have formed! This decision God has put on our heart for a while now and with lots of prayer we’ve recently had several doors open. As many know we’ve been working crazy countless hours to provide the best product and service possible to both our wedding clients and our clients in the studio. All of the time we have put into the studio side of our business over the past two years has made us realize how important it is to focus on our family, especially time away from Brooke. At this point in our lives we don’t feel any amount of money should take away time with our family. Our amazing soon to be 4 year old daughter Brooke has always loved the studio and getting her portrait taken, but she’s going to love hanging on the beach with her mommy a lot more!

The other positive news in all of this is that we are now focusing on growing our wedding business year round! It’s always been our first love and passion! With this new time we are going to be able to focus on improving and being the best possible wedding photographers, always striving to push creative boundaries and improve!! We will absolutely still be doing select portrait sessions in the greater Miami and also summer sessions in Rochester.
